Our upholstery is known for its quality, style, durability and comfort. Sofas, loveseats, chairs, chaises, sectionals, and ottomans are all made to order and available in many sizes, fabrics and leathers. Each piece is handcrafted in Los Angeles, California.

The Fulshear community was established when Churchill Fulshear moved to the area in 1824 with his wife Betsy Summers and their four children. They were one of the original Old Three Hundred.

With his wealth, he established a slave plantation and produced cotton, corn, rice, pecans, and livestock. A few years later after his death ownership of the plantation passed to his youngest son, Churchill Fulshear Jr.

Churchill Jr. along with both of his brothers served as scouts for Sam Houston’s army that fled Antonio Lopex de Santa Anna’s army after the Texan loss at the Battle of the Alamo.

After Texas gained their independence, Churchill Jr. went on expand his plantation and pursue other ventures. He built and operated a horse race track called Churchill Downs that operated from the 1850s through the 1870s.

In 1888 he gave the SA&AP Railroad the right of way to build across his plantation. This led to a commercial boom and development in the area. Churchill Jr. died in 1892.
