At The Amish Craftsman, we sell completely custom furniture–and that not only includes choosing the wood you’d like to use but also the stain.
In fact, we have A LOT of stain options–from light to dark and warm to cool tones–to choose from. Yes, that may sound overwhelming, but our design consultants will help you think through the existing color palette of your room, including floors, cabinetry and walls, to determine the best stain for your new pieces. Honestly, that’s our favorite part of our job! We love pulling rooms together for our customers.
Really, we believe that the finishing process is what brings our furniture to life. For example, stains can be used to emphasize wood grains and add character to a piece. It’s incredible what a difference finishing makes! Nailing the right wood and stain combination is where the magic happens.
And by the way, we are perfectionists, which means we won’t let just anyone finish our furniture.
We’ve handpicked one master finisher (who has perfected the art of finishing) to stain all of our pieces–at the same time, under the same conditions– in order to achieve the most consistent finish possible. Also, we only use one, very specific stain formula (a.k.a., the best one that exists!) and are constantly fine-tuning it to ensure that the stain used will yield the absolute best results on each type of wood.
The results are flawless. We even inspect every single piece before it goes out for delivery to make sure it meets our uncompromising standards of excellence.
