It’s no secret how much we love our hometown of Houston. And judging by your generous support of some of our favorite local charities this year, it’s clear you do, too!
During this season of giving, let’s take a moment to celebrate what we were able to accomplish this year.
Drumroll, please!
Together, we raised $35,000 to benefit these local charities:
BEAR Houston: The only 501(c)(3) organization working with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and Harris County Resources for Children and Adults that provides crucial programs and supportive services for abused and neglected children.
Kids’ Meals: A first-responder delivering healthy meals to food insecure children ages five and under in Harris and Montgomery Counties with a mission to end childhood hunger, while providing resources to their families to help end the cycle of poverty.
The Brookwood Community: Founded as a celebration of neurodiversity, the nonprofit works tirelessly to provide meaning and purpose in the lives of the adults with disabilities through educational and enterprise programs that create meaningful work and build a sense of belonging.
Books Between Kids: Addressing a desperate need for children to have access to books outside of school, the organization has distributed 2.3 million books to over 500,000 economically disadvantaged children throughout greater Houston to help drive their academic success.
The Houston SPCA: For nearly 100 years, the nonprofit has worked tirelessly to improve and protect the lives and alleviate the suffering and abuse of animals in our community.
American Cancer Society: A leading cancer-fighting organization with a vision to end cancer for everyone, the nonprofit exists to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support.
Your generosity is what empowers us to help make a difference in the lives of our neighbors–thank you! Let’s do it again next year!
