What’s So Special About Amish Furniture?

BUILT FROM SOLID NORTH AMERICAN HARDWOODS

We only use slow-growth hardwoods from forests that are responsibly managed for this purpose. The wood is cut, kiln-dried to prevent splitting and then sent to the builder’s workshop to begin its transformation. You may choose from red oak, quarter-sawn white oak, cherry, maple, hickory or walnut. When customers come into the store we often hear, “It smells good in here!” That’s the smell of real wood.

UNPARALLELED LEVEL OF CRAFTSMANSHIP

Amish furniture is exceptional furniture. This is not factory assembled furniture – it is made by hand, one piece at a time, by Amish families that don’t cut corners! Amish builders are true craftsmen and pride themselves on using traditional woodworking techniques such as mortise & tenon, dovetail and tongue & groove joinery.

IT’S AN INVESTMENT IN QUALITY – OUR AMISH FURNITURE IS BUILT TO LAST

A lot of the furniture you find out there today is imported from Asia, made from particle board and veneers and built to last just a few years (if you’re lucky). Not Amish Furniture! This furniture is built the way it should be.
