My wife and I have loved the Arts and Crafts style in architecture and furniture for many, many years. We lived in California for nearly 35 years and were in the process of converting a ‘70s cookie cutter house into a ‘30’s arts and craft bungalow (a 7 year project) when I was transferred four years ago to Houston. Doing the same here, but taking a late ‘60’s modern and converting it to Prairie Style. Moving to a new area cross country, you need to establish a whole new network of sources for materials you can trust. My wife and I went to 5 different Arts and Crafts furniture outlets in the Houston area, talking to the owners to see if they really knew what Arts and Crafts was first, and then review the quality of the furniture. We settled on the Amish Craftsman based on friendliness, understanding of our needs, and superior quality of workmanship and materials. They physically have the furniture, rather than going through catalogs and having a few samples to look at. My wife and Kimberly spent several hours working a color coordination for fabrics, no small feat knowing my wife! My wife and I were very pleased at the delivery process (everything brought in and set up per our direction) in a very friendly and professional manner on an extremely hot and humid day. I’d highly recommend the Amish Craftsman to anyone who’s looking for the “real stuff” and wants a pleasant shopping experience as well as excellent customer follow-up to assure total satisfaction.
